morral.play.solutions

The company was formed almost ten years ago, in April 2002.  It is now a well establlished company with a registered RPII Annual Inspector employed within the company.  It was set up primarily to work with every section of the industry to improve fixed equipped play facilities across the country.  We have 35 years of play experience from the public and private sectors.  Our services are wide ranging and can be tailored to individual requirements.  Please see our Services page.

Engaging with Morral Play Solutions will give you peace of mind.  Our staff hold BTEC qualifications in play and are "competent persons|" as required in BSEN1176: Part 7.  We have Criminal Record Disclosures (CRB's) and full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances.

Company Ethos ....."Play should be for all, with no restrictions.  Freedom within the playground, with or without equipment, for children to role play, run, jump, climb, crawl and hide.  All of these should be within a safe and clean environment.  All of these points allow a child to develop his/her core body strength."

Alan Dymond spent 20 years working for local authorities in London, and the North West.  His last ten years as Play Area Development Officer for Manchester City Council was spent establishing and evolving a city-wide development programme, which transformed the playgrounds across the city.  His experience covers design, policy / strategy work, developing maintenance / inspection regimes, risk assessment and consultation.

Ian Morrison spent 15 years working for the largest play equipment manufacturer in Europe, Hags Play Ltd and also one of the most progressive safer surfacing / wetpour contractors in the UK, DCM.  His career has primarily been emersed within sales, but has also involved numerous inspections, risk assessments and supporting clients in sourcing funding opportunities to develop playgrounds, many of which are now well established.

Our first successful tender for work came in November 2002, with an annual inspection, risk assessment and development programme for Carmarthenshire County Council, which was followed up by a strategy for their fixed equipped playgrounds.  Their Play Development Officer said  "Carmarthenshire County Council were very happy with the strategy development work undertaken by Morral Play Solutions.  It highlighted the priorities for the service and justified action plans.  It was instrumental in assisting the Parks and Open Spaces Manager to target S106 contributions and to secure additional capital investment to improve play facilities across the county."

Since then we have continued to develop and expand the company to provide services which clients want, building up a varied client base that includes local authorities, schools, housing developers and associations, landscape contractors, manufacturers and wetpour contractors.
